Made in China at the turn of the century, this vase is unmarked and features a fine crackled glaze. China's natural source of abundant kaolin is key to their earlier development of fine, lightweight porcelain which is apparent in this example. Their unique, high temperature firing process is also a hallmark of Chinese quality which allows the glaze to develop a greater depth.
